Artificial Turf Discount Program

Turf grass is one of the most water-intensive plants a landscape can have. High water demand and frequent maintenance make it a time-consuming and expensive yard option.

As part of its drought response efforts, the San Diego County Water Authority has launched a pilot program designed to help bring down the cost of replacing water-intensive grass with artificial turf. Under this public-private partnership, participating artificial turf companies will provide customers with a 10 percent discount on products and services. The discount is available whether the installation is performed by the artificial turf company or by a do-it-yourself customer who purchases only materials.

Taking advantage of this program is easy! No application is necessary. To get started on an artificial turf installation project, contact any of these participating companies by clicking on their logo below and mention the Water Authority's discount program:

This program is available to residential, commercial and public sector property owners. Please note that the discount is given by the artificial turf company. Currently only the companies listed above are participating.

Vendors: We are not currently accepting applications to participate in this program.

Disclaimer: The cost to install artificial turf varies widely depending on a variety of factors, including site preparation, infill, weed barriers and type of synthetic grass. Whereas the Artificial Turf Discount Program scope is limited to providing a discount through private companies, participants assume all risk and liability for their projects and waive and release the San Diego County Water Authority and its agents from any and all claims and causes of action associated with the participant’s participation in this program. Participants are advised to seek specialized professional assistance where necessary.
